Organisational Restructure

Project: To undertake an HR audit and provide recommendations for a five year HR plan and new organisational structure for a National Tourist Office in London.
What happened: A strategic HR review was carried out including a SWOT analysis and business plan; employment contracts were updated; new job descriptions, appraisal framework and staff handbook were created; a training needs analysis was also undertaken.
Outcome: Successful implementation within set timescales and budget, of a strategic five year HR plan, new organisational structure and updated systems and procedures which resulted in a measurably improved and more productive business.

Recruitment Project

Project: To recruit technical staff for a major oil and gas terminal based in South Wales.
What happened: 40+ employees were successfully recruited across a range of divisions. Grapevine HR liaised with supplier agencies, created a preferred supplier list screened CV’s, interviewed candidates, negotiated salaries; issued offer letters and assisted with induction.
Outcome: All vacancies were filled within agreed timescales and set budgets, which significantly contributed to the efficient operation of this very expensive gas terminal. Client expectations were exceeded (as evidenced by testimonials).

Appraisal Process

Project: To create and develop new appraisal and recruitment processes for an architectural practice in London, incorporating a set of specifically designed competencies.
What happened: A competency framework model was created which benchmarked and clearly explained people’s knowledge, skills and behaviours; this was incorporated into new job descriptions, appraisal forms and interview questions.
Outcome: A demonstrable improvement in using the appraisal process; managers found it easy to use. As a result, staff performance was enhanced as training needs were easily identified which led to rapid company growth over the following 6-12 months.
